Infact thanks to him (Angelo Rizzoli was a publisher, a film producer, a patron) at Ischia were built Anna Rizzoli Hospital, sports facilities, the Regina Isabella Hotel.
Angelo Rizzoli changed the island and in particular Lacco Ameno in a

meeting place and a holiday resort for actors, directors, financiers and royal families.
At Ischia Rizzoli’s empire called “Lacco Ameno Terme S.p.A.": it was a company founded by the fusion of "Pithecusae" and "Incremento isola d’Ischia" companies and then by the transformation of "Ischia Terme S.p.A".
Angelo Rizzoli established the “Centro studi Lacco Ameno Terme”, a scientific construction which is important for the development of the modern mineral water therapy.
Thanks to Angelo Rizzoli, at Lacco Ameno important hotels were built, such as: Regina Isabella, Reginella, Villa Svizzera, Manzi, Il Fungo.
Also the Reginella cinema contributed to this social and economic development. The Cineriz, Angelo Rizzoli’s film company, became point of reference in Europe and it started a comparison with Hollywood.
In 50s and 60s Lacco Ameno became a wordly town between receptions, meetings.
Important painters were charmed by Ischia, so that they immortalized the island in their works.
Through Angelo Rizzoli’s magazines and the Cineriz, Ischia became famous all over the world and a privileged set for the international cinema. Horse-drawn carriages and the characteristic “microtaxis” conquered millions of tourists.
